Q: I would like to sell some of my items at Carols Things, what options do you have?
A: At our Kingsport store we have a few booths that we rent. These
rent for $75 per month plus a 5% commission on anything you sell. We
also offer consignment sales at both locations. This costs you
nothing unless the item sells. Our fee ranges from 40% for furniture
and larger items to 50% for smaller items.
Q: I am interested in renting a booth,
do I have to sign a long term contract?
A: No. Our contract is for 3 months. After that you can cancel at
any time with a 30 day notice. We want you to stay at least 3 months
to give your stuff an opportunity to sell. If your stuff is not
selling we don't want you to waste you money trying to sell with us.
We will gladly help you with setting your prices and give you advise
on displaying in order to do your best. We want you to succeed!
Q: Do you accept any type of merchandise
in your booths?
A: No. We reserve the right to refuse any type of merchandise. We
don't allow handguns, anything flammable or otherwise hazardous,
dirty, dusty, yard sale type of items, clothing, etc. We also limit the number
of vendors with similar items.
Q: Do you advertise Carol's Things?
A: Yes. We believe that advertising is critical to success. We have
a radio campaign on WQUT and also
run promotions on
www.KingsportDeals.com and send out promotional emails to about
5,000 Tri-Cities residents.
Q: Can 2 vendors share a booth?
A: No problem! We can even setup the rent so each of you pays half
of the booth rent and each of you will be paid separately for you
sales!
